Convenient Expert Diagnostic Support

How It Works

Oral Radiology Consultants is a simple solution for your 2D and 3D image interpretation. You upload your images to the secure portal. We write a thorough radiological report and notify you when it is completed. You save time and maintain compliance with documentation of all radiographic findings.

To submit patient images, follow these instructions:

Click Upload Images and follow the onscreen prompts:

  1. Select image files to upload (Need help finding these files? Click here)
  2. Fill in Clinical Notes: This information WILL be included in the radiology report.
  3. Fill in Case Comments: This information will NOT be included in radiology report.
  4. Select any optional Add-Ons offered on a case-by-case basis (Rush Report, Comparison Review).
  5. Select the patient’s next appointment date.
  6. Upload your image files (tip: click “Preview Selected Studies” to scroll through a preview of the CBCT slices to verify you are uploading the entire scan).

A board-certified Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist will review the images and provide a diagnostic interpretation report.

The average turnaround time is 5 business days. Rush service is available for next business day.

An e-mail notification will be sent when your report is ready to view.

Click View Reports to access your reports or to scroll through your CBCTs in a web-based diagnostic viewer.

For initial reports, invoices are sent to the e-mail address on file at the end of the month. For subsequent reports, the card on file will be automatically charged at the end of each month that a report is completed.

DICOM Export Guide

For 3D scans, there are usually several hundred DICOM files because these files represent the slices of the scan. You access these files in your CBCT machine’s proprietary software (not your office’s electronic patient record software). Your CBCT machine’s software may also have the ability to export a viewer in addition to the DICOM files, but Oral Radiology Consultants only needs the DICOM files.

Tip: When uploading DICOM files to Oral Radiology Consultants, click “Preview Selected Studies”. This allows you to scroll through a preview of the CBCT slices to verify you are uploading the entire scan.

Please see below for instructions on how to export DICOM files from your CBCT machine’s software. Manufacturers constantly make upgrades to their software, so be sure to contact their customer service department, or your local sales representative who sold you the machine, if you need additional help exporting the DICOM files.
